Glenn E. Estess PresidentofRotaryInternationalin2003/2004, GlennE.EstesscomesfromtheMississippiarea, graduated in Chemistry and Physics, with honorary doctoral degrees in universities from KoreaandIndia. Glenn E. Estess started his career by selling scientific equipment later founding his own company,GlennEstessAssociates,soldin1993, afterhisdecisiontobefullydedicatedtoRotary. ARotariansince1960,holdingseveralpositions withRotarianinstitutions,GlennE.Estessfulfilled himselfwithRotary.Hebuiltsolidfriendshipsand cooperated,withhisgroup,tosolvesocialissues fromcommunities,givinganewmeaningtohis life. PresidentofRotaryInternationalduringRotary's Centennial, with his motto “Celebrate Rotary”, Glenn E. Estess manifested his enthusiasm for theFundaçãodeRotarianosdeSãoPaulo work whichanswersthechallengeofputtingitselffor the service of society by offering education, an essentialassettoformcitizens. Jonathan B. Majiyagbe Nigerian Jonathan B. Majiyagbe, who was president of Rotary International from 2003 to 2004, had “Lend a Hand” as its management motto. ThefirstAfricantoholdtheposition,working,in his country, in the field of Law, Jonathan B. Majiyagbesees,intheRotarianlife,thepossibility ofopeningdoorsthatleadtoknowledgeofpeople and cultures,the opportunityto establishworld understandingandbuildpeace. KnowingtheworkdevelopedbytheFundaçãode RotarianosdeSãoPaulo,JonathanB.Majiyagbe invoked theimageof a Rotarian– “an ordinary person who does extraordinary things”, and expressedhishopeinimprovementofmankind througheducation. JonathanB.Majiyagbeemphasizedhisbeliefin strengtheningofthelanguageandculturalbonds thatuniteBrazilandAfricathankstotheofferof scholarshipstoAfricanstudents,grantedbythe FundaçãodeRotarianosdeSãoPaulo,through theFaculdadesIntegradasRioBranco.
