His involvement with scouting since very early,taughthimthevalueofassociativelifeand interactionwithpeoplefromdifferentcountries, inspiringhimtointegrateRotary,startingin1970. The first Scotchman to preside Rotary International,hismanagementmotto“Thefuture ofRotaryisinyourhands”indicatestheviewthat every Rotarian has the potential to act for the benefitofthemutualgood,andshouldundertake thatcommitmentbeforethesociety. InvokingtheprinciplesofRotarianlife,basedon ethics, work and competence, John Kenny manifested his happiness for seeing them expressedintheprojectsandaccomplishments of the Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo, focusedoneducation. Dong Kurn Lee Korean Dong Kurn Lee, President of Rotary International from 2008 to 2009, followed his father's steps in the Rotarian world, being a District Governor, RI Director and Rotarian FoundationCurator.Inparalleltohisrolesasa Rotarian, he develops business activities as Presidentofcorporations. Withthemotto“Makedreamsreal”,DongKurn LeemobilizedRotariansleadershipsthroughout theworldforthebenefitofchildren,workingto improvetheirsurvivalconditions,providingthem withperspectivesrelatedtorealizingtheirwishes ofbetterlife. DuringhisvisittotheFundaçãodeRotarianosde SãoPaulo,DongKurnLeewaspaidhomageby Korean students from the Colégio Rio Branco who,inanallusiontothecolorsofKorea'sflag, expressedthedesiretocooperatewiththeRotary International President's ideal, looking for “the truthofthesky,thegenerosityoftheearth,the wisdomofthewaterandthepowerofthefire”.
