Teacher Armando Lourenzo and the coordinator Wagner Tadeu Mendes STRATEGIC PLANNING 76 Annual Report 2014 The Ensino a Distância Rio Branco conducted the Virtual Round Table on Small Business Administration live on YouTube, with the participation of teacher Armando Lourenzo Moreira Junior and Wagner Tadeu, EAD coordinator, as mediator. The table theme was “Succession and Professionalization of Family Businesses” and addressed issues such as succession process, conflicts’ reduction, professionalism and the management importance in this environment; all themes are very actual and subject to doubt in small business management, according to teacher Armando Lourenzo. PROMOTED THE 1ST EDITION OF THE COURSE The course brought together theory and practice and students have prepared a real strategic plan. In 2014, the Ensino a Distância Rio Branco offered the first edition of the university extension course named Strategic Planning, taught by teacher Armando Lourenzo Moreira Junior. The course aims to enable the student to make a strategic diagnosis, establish business guidelines, formulate business strategies, create an action plan and present the strategic indicators for a company. Throughout the course, students have also developed a real strategic plan, step by step. In order that students could put into practice the knowledge acquired in the c l a s s r o o m , the Ensino a Distância Team released a video on Strategic Planning at the Social Forum, generating interaction and discussion on the main issues addressed in the video.
