12th Model United Nations The school participated in the 12th edition of the Model United Nations, being represented by 13 students from the Higienópolis Unit and 9 students from the Granja Vianna Unit. This is a project from the International Relations Department of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica (PUC) de Minas Gerais (Catholic University of Minas Gerais), gathering high school students from all over Brazil to live out sessions typical of international organisms, in which the students play the role of “country delegates”. The exercise requires previous research on current themes and training communication and verbal expression skills, in Portuguese and in other languages, teamwork, argumentation, negotiation and mediation. The students are separated into committees and defend ideas and postures related to several themes such as migration, disarmament and international safety, among others, focusing on the interests of the countries that they represent. GRADUATION High School and Middle School Graduations The graduation ceremonies of the high school and middle school students were marked by homages to parents, graduates and teachers, and speeches of encouragement and faith in the future. Class valedictorians relived memories and projected their dreams, emphasizing the importance of effort in facing the challenges to come. Graduates created videos showing themselves in different moments throughout their years, at the school and also of the friendships built with fellow classmates and teachers.
