escola para crianças surdas rio branco EVENTS AND CELEBRATIONS Athletics Championship The activities of the first semester at the escola para crianças surdas rio branco were concluded with the traditional Athletics Championship. Students showed their physical skills related to strength, speed and impulse, through their participation at individual races, relay races, long jump and weight throw, experiencing Championship stimulates abilities the emotions of competing and winning. Dia do Circo A day to enjoy playing with clowns, to admire the courage of trapeze artists, to cheer the accuracy of tightrope artists, but also to get in touch with the country’s popular culture. When planning the celebration of the Circus Day, Pre-School students and Elementary School first- graders were encouraged to recreate significant circus characters. The teachers, in turn, performed as clowns, encouraging the children to expand their imagination and creativity. Acrobats during presentation Nutrition Week With the objective of fostering good eating habits, the escola para crianças surdas rio branco promoted the Nutrition Week. Many topics related to the origin of food items were studied in a multidisciplinary way: their properties, benefits, best ways to combine them in everyday life; Pre-School and Elementary school students were encouraged to share positive experiences regarding healthy eating habits. Nutritionist Priscila Bongiovani delivered a lecture and gave students and their families some new ideas on the best use of fruits, green vegetables, grains, and also a broader concept of health, which means not only the absence of disease but also physical, emotional Priscila Bongiovani and mental well-being.
