VALORIZATION ACADEMIC MERIT SCHOLARSHIP Marked by emotion and acknowledgment, traditional ceremonies for the presentation of the Academic Merit Scholarship were carried out at the beginning of each semester. Around 100 students from Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco won full scholarship valid for one semester due to the excellent results on courses’ assessments. Ceremonies had the participation of the Fundação Nahid Chicani, FRSP’s president, awarding the students and the Faculdades’ directors, coordinators, teachers and family. Edman Altheman, Inspired by the best international practices at educational area, the Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco Academic Merit Scholarship of Faculdades is granted at the end of each general director, highlighted semester as an encouragement and valorization for the efforts and that the award is a homage to dedication. All College’s students can compete for the award, they just need student’s talent and give them to be the best on each step and complete the academic semester with grades status and acknowledgment due above 8.5 and with more than 80% of attendance on classes. to their dedication. EXTERNAL EVENTS FACULDADES PARTICIPATE IN 2013 GEDUC Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco attended the congress of educational management promoted by Humus Consultoria. The subject of the meeting was “Education 3.0: Which are the new challenges for the management?” and Edman Altheman, the Faculdades’ general director, presided the XI Brazilian Congress of Educational Management and III International Congress of Educational Management, events carried out within GEduc schedule, highlighting the changes of paradigm of educational area and intermediating congress’ lecturers. GEduc accounted with the participation of renowned professionals of the area. Jim Lengel, specialist on Education 3.0 and teacher at Hunter College, at New York University, gave the international master lecture about the main subject of GEduc. Gustavo Ioschpe, specialist in education, gave the national master lecture “Education as the key pillar for nation’s competitiveness”. Barbara Bruns, chief-economist of Banco Mundial, responsible for education in Latin America and Caribbean, approached the subject “How to achieve a global level education?”.
