COOPERATION AGREEMENTWITH TAMK TAMPERE Colégio Rio Branco signed a cooperation agreement with Tampere University of Applied Sciences - Tamk of Finland, for promoting the teacher’s professional development program. The agreement occurred during a trip made by Colégio’s Principal, Esther Carvalho, to Finland, a country with one of the best rates of the world for innovation and creativity in education, being top in several rankings. The partnership between the two institutions will promote, in 2014, the distance education program ‘Educators for the 21st century’, directed for teachers of Colégio Rio Branco, covering all educational segments, with the participation of its principal as a facilitator. The program will be held for 18 months and will cover the following central themes: ‘Competencies for education in the 21st century’, ‘Use of technology in education’ and ‘Results and Assessment in Education’. INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE LEADERSHIP AND SCIENCE CAMP PROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS Students of Colégio Rio Branco attended the pre-exchange Program ‘Leadership and Science Camp for International Students’, of Boston Cambridge Institute.
