Rio Branco Geek Saturday - Information System The Geek Saturday – a full day dedicated to the technology of games and animations – gathered students from several courses of the Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco, Faculdade de Tecnologia de São Paulo (Fatec – Technology College of São Paulo), Universidade São Judas (São Judas University), Centro Universitário Fieo (Unifieo – University Center Fieo), Senac (National Service of Commercial Learning), and High School students from several schools of São Paulo. The event was opened with the lecture ‘The 12 commandments for a good developer’, delivered by former student Guilherme Mendonça, who is taking his Masters in Computer Engineering at the Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Four workshops dealt with issues related to the creation of games in the same lines as Xbox and the use of Windows Live, Flash technology and the Macintosh Operating System.
