VIII Academic Congress on National Defense The VIII Academic Congress on National Defense, an educational and cultural activity carried out at the Agulhas Negras Military Academy in Rezende, Rio de Janeiro, had the presence of International Relations course students Bárbara Mendes, Carolina Rezende, Marcelo Magdaleno, Nathia Rodrigues and Wellignton Souza. Guided by teacher Denilde Holzhacker, the students contributed with discussions regarding the consolidation of a defense culture in Brazil and experienced the goal of the event, which was fostering the relationship between military schools and civilian higher education institutions. International Relations students in the VII Academic Congress on National Defense Multidisciplinary 1st Scientific Works Symposium The 1st Scientific Works Symposium held by the Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco gathered the academic works of students and former students of the International Relations, Law, Journalist, Information Systems, Administration, Advertising and Public Relation courses. Final course papers and experimental projects – guided by teachers Denilde Holzhacker, Martha Mercado, Patrícia Rangel, Francisco Felinto Jr, Alexandre Uehara, Onofre Portella, Regiane Bressan, Ednilson Andrade Arraes Melo, Luís Gabriel, Paulo Camargo, Ana Paula Nogueira, Rosemary Jordão and Cyro Couto, encompassed political and economic issues regarding Latin America, Africa and the Middle East, issues linked to the preservation of the brazilian history and culture, to the administration of corporations and to the role of new communication and information technologies. There were academic productions of several courses in the symposium LECTURES Several lecturers brought to the campus the experience of professionals now acting in the market and highlighted cases in different areas of knowledge. Social Communication Renato Cagno, Capricho magazine marketing manager Branding In a lecture to the students of the Executive MBA in Branding, Fred Gelli, from Tátil Agency, responsible for the creation of the brand for the Olympic Games in 2016, talked about all stages of the project. Capricho Magazine Case The case issued in the Capricho Magazine, the largest circulation publication in the Country, geared towards teenagers, was presented by its Marketing director, Renato Cagno, who explained, to the Communication Course Students, the evolution in the publication’s positioning. 37
