Cardinal Renato Raffaele Martino By invitation of the director of the Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo, Dino Samaja, Cardinal Renato Raffaele Martino visited the Centro de Educação para Surdos Rio Branco. Accompanied by Father Edvino A. Steckel and Ada Odino, the Cardinal was hosted by Dino Samaja, Sabine Vergamini, director of the Center, and Susana Penteado, director of the Centro Profissionalizante Rio Branco. During the visit, the cardinal, who has lived in Brazil, spoke with several students, answered questions and blessed the school, students and educators. Padre Edvino A. The future director of Rotary International José Antonio Antiório highlighted the significance of the work of the Foundation, for it represents the work of Rotarians who are recognized worldwide. José Luiz Fonseca, EGD 2007/2008 - District 4420, recalled the overcome challenges that led to the confirmation of São Paulo as the host for the Rotary International Convention in 2015, referencing the work of the Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo as a determining factor to the fact. As part of the program, about 100 governors representing 54,000 Rotarians in Brazil visited the facilities of the Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco. For the wives, it was organized a visit to the other entities mantained by the Foundation at Higienópolis and Elected and Indicated District Governors Meeting Granja Vianna Units.
