COLÉGIO RIO BRANCO World Water Day On World Water Day, 5th grade students carried out a true demonstration in favor of the conservation of this resource that is essential to life. The students who participated in the “Energy and Water Conservation Project” (PCEA), carried signs referring to the subject and visited all the classrooms, from Basic Education to 4th Grade; they drew students’ attention to the fact that our right to live is very closely connected to the effi cient use of water resources. Family Day Family Day was celebrated by teachers, students and their families – a whole day to express the joy of spending life together, through physical activities and arts. A session of body expression, open to everyone, was conducted by Physical Education teachers, at Granja Vianna Unit, and was preceded by a performance of the Rio Branco Choir and of students singing and playing instruments. At Higienópolis Unit, there was a performance of Pão de Açúcar Institute String Orchestra, with the participation of 7th grade student Leonardo Jaffé Misiuk Barbosa, playing the violin. There was also a video, presenting the 5th-grade students’ art productions, representing the meaning of Performance of student Leonardo Jaffé Misiuk Barbosa family in each of their lives. Green Week Reaja Group (Refl ection, Balance and Action towards the unreasonable use of plastic cups, through an awareness- Environment) worked hard to participate in the celebration raising campaign comprising all the school, that resulted in of the Green Week. The group warned about the the creation of a facility with 4,000 disposed cups. Green Week promoted initiatives for environmental awareness-raising, such as recycling materials workshops.
