COLÉGIO RIO BRANCO Brazilian History Olympic Games Two high-school teams, one from Higienópolis Unit – made up by the students Isabella Eid, Rafael Feltrim and Livia Maria Orsati – and another from Granja Viana – made up by the students André Afonso Sabbatini de B. Fonseca, Guilherme Neves de Oliveira and Guilherme Vergara Marçal de Freitas – won bronze medals in the 2nd National Brazilian History Olympic Games. Sponsored by Unicamp (State University of Campinas City), it had the participation of over 65,000 teachers High school students stood out in the History Olympic games and students. Analyzing historical and historiographical documents and accomplishing competition. Only 300 teams were selected for the fi nal tasks was part of the daily lives of students during the round, among which our high-school teams. Mathematics Challenge The Math Challenge counted on the participation of students from the 5th grade of Elementary School to the 3rd grade of High School. At the closing ceremony of the third edition of the challenge, trophies were delivered to 1st place students from each grade, who demonstrated great skill in dealing with numbers, problem-solving Exam taken for the Mathematics Challenge abilities, with enthusiasm and energy. Youth Parliament With a paper on the Moorish House, located on Avenida Paulista in São Paulo, student Julia Gaspar Barbosa Correa took part in the Municipal Youth Parliament and had her project – on the preservation of this heritage - voted and approved by her 55 colleagues from other schools, making it available for consultation in the library of the Town Council of São Paulo. The Municipal Youth Parliament provides young people with the experience of the legislative process and, more specifi cally, the expression of their ideas and ideals, allowing their citizen participation in the city’s destiny.
